Creative Micro-District

The retail units, flex-offices, and the coworking space will be positioned to cater their rental options to Saint Lucia’s growing community of artisans, entrepreneurs, and micro-and-small enterprises. Together with a café eatery, bar, and outdoor greenspace, this portion of the project will be constructed on approximately 9,000 sq ft (836 sq m) of land.

This component of the project is designed to be a ‘placemaking’ initiative and will deliver a creative micro-district to the north of the island. It will bring Saint Lucia’s creative and professional community together in a single, well-designed venue. The physical design of the venue coupled with its unique, creative tenants will make Le Petit Gros Islet a shopping destination not just for locals but also for the island’s annual 386,000 stay-over travelers, 669,000 cruise ship passengers, and 50,000 yacht passengers.

Boutique Hostel

The boutique hostel, which will be located on the same property as the creative micro-district, will require the conversion of an existing two-story industrial warehouse to be outfitted with 20 berths, en-suite rooms, shared washrooms and communal areas.

Together, the boutique hostel and the creative micro-district will function as synergistic assets that address Saint Lucia’s lack of low-cost accommodations for travelers and the island’s lack of low-cost commercial rental space for small businesses.
