Saint Lucia Reveals Investment Opportunities at Expo 2020 Dubai
Saint Lucia successfully hosted a two-day event coinciding with Independence Day at Expo 2020 Dubai. The events were held on 21-22 February and focused on development and investment for building a better and more sustainable future while promoting global cooperation.
In an effort to catalyze the investment potential of the country and increase investment flows into Saint Lucia, Invest Saint Lucia (ISL), in partnership with the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, Export Saint Lucia, and the Citizenship by Investment Program organized the Saint Lucia Business Forum. This was hosted on 21 February at the Dubai Exhibition Centre at Expo 2020.
This event brought together 80 individuals ranging from high net worth international and regional investors, business leaders, international media, travel partners, business owners, citizenship agents, representatives of other international investment promotion agencies, and key strategic partners to meet and discuss investment projects and opportunities in Saint Lucia. Moreover, it provided a medium for showcasing the destination and networking with potential investment partners.
The Saint Lucia Business Forum included plenary and panel sessions that highlighted the country’s overarching investment opportunities and business environment. In addition, participants learnt about Saint Lucia’s development across various sectors, including tourism, foreign direct investment, and citizenship beyond the passport. This event was the flagship business event of Saint Lucia at Expo 2020 Dubai and flowed into a cultural spectacle of Independence Day celebrations for the island.
National Days at Expo 2020 Dubai were created to showcase the culture and achievements of each participating country. Saint Lucia portrayed its identity and history through dance, music, and singing under the theme “My Island Home.”
Thousands of visitors have explored the Saint Lucia Pavilion in the Opportunity District. It showcases the breath-taking biodiversity, natural wealth, and brilliant people of the Caribbean Island and provides a sense of Saint Lucia’s past while hinting at its future as a leader in ecotourism and circular manufacturing.
